Roll Out The Play-Doh

Camden has a knack at turning the easiest mess free projects into a disaster area. The Crayola wonder products, while they do not show up on anything but their "special" paper, do still make large stiff spots on clothes, gunk up hair and leave your table and chairs forever sticky. After having one of those messy painting sessions where we ran out of paint because Camden insisted of using fist fulls to finger-paint.

Still needing a hands on activity to keep us both busy I reluctantly pulled out a small container of Play-Doh. I've always been hesitant of Play-Doh simply because it's impossible to get out of the carpet and, knowing Camden, it has the great possibility to end up there and everywhere else its not supposed to.

Long story short...Camden LOVES Play-Doh and has yet to smash it anywhere inappropriate but has taken a few bites and announced "It yucky!" after doing so. He's a master snake-maker and little ball rolling expert. Now Mommy is excited to find one of those little plastic dolls where the Play-Doh hair "grows" out of the top. LOL

Back To The Blog and The Gym

To be honest I haven't been in a blogging mood recently. Between playing with Camden, school, running errands, homework, cleaning, laundry and being horribly nauseous the last thing I've wanted to do is think something cute to type to capture what was happening in pictures. That, and I haven't been as camera crazy as usual so there weren't too many pictures to post.

Well that is about to change. I want to make a better effort to put stuff up here again and have taken oodles of pictures to help me get started. So...here we go:

A few months ago we started Camden at a new gym, AcroSports. The Little Gym that was close to our house closed which provided us the opportunity to try a new facility with my friend Katie and her son Jake. (or Jack, as Camden calls him) We took a trial class together and fell in love with the facility and the coaches. It was an
adjustment from The Little Gym, more so for me than Camden, but he loves it so we signed up for a weekly class.

Every Thursday we are rolling, jumping and swinging our way around the gym. Camden's favorite part is the rings, bar, trapeze or the trampoline. Basically anything he can swing and hang from or jump on.
Who knows...maybe we have a future Olympian in the family!?!

A New Set Of Wheels

That's right folks!
The girl who has always received hand-me-down vehicles ventured out with her wonderful hubby to do a little car shopping. We went into the whole experience thinking that I/we wanted one thing and wound up with something that wasn't specifically on our radar until I drove it.

Check out my new ride:
A 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T

Isn't it shiny and sassy?!?

Now I know it isn't "new" but it's newer than anything
else I've ever had and it's new to me.
I LOVE it!!
Which is good because we're tied to it for many years now.

I'd Say Stuck-He'd Say Comfy

I realize that it has been close to two weeks since I've posted anything. I had more pictures and the conclusion to trip home (which most of you know what not a good one) but have decided against posting all the gory details simply because it's been so long,
it's not a happy story and I'm tired.

On to something more current:

You'd think we don't any chairs in the house for the poor child to sit on. Well...after he took a seat and found himself stuck he decided to change his circumstances by announcing that he was "comfy."

A Tight Fit

Camden managed to climb into and lie down in Madison's baby doll bed. I suppose he wanted to snuggle down with
a good book in a cozy little spot.

Madison had to get in on the action too so she climbed in herself. I'm still not quite sure how they both climbed into that
tiny plastic framed bed without breaking it.

Aren't they cute when they're clean?

A Road Trip and Camden's Birthday Party

Brian, Camden and I loaded up the trusty ol' Yukon and began the typically 11 hour trip to Levelland to visit my parents and celebrate Camden's birthday. A few hours into the trip we received several phone calls telling us that we shouldn't come because of the snow and icy conditions that were forming there. After discussing our options we decided to brave the weather and press on. Our planned 11 hour trip quickly turned into a 14 hour trip when the "trusty" ol' Yukon had a hose disconnect from the transmission which left us stranded on the side of the road awaiting a tow into Post where Brian was thankfully able to fix the problem (which came back to haunt us) with my Dad's over the phone help.

Anyway...

We had Camden's second birthday party on Saturday afternoon. We were so thankful that so many of our friends and family braved the cold weather and muddy road out to my parent's house to help us celebrate. Camden had a Yo Gabba Gabba party complete with a custom cake made by my BFF Zak and oodles of decorations and balloons. Camden had a blast!!
