Going back to school is something that I've been contemplating since graduating from Tech almost four years ago and have finally decided that now is the perfect time to jump in with both feet. I attended an open house at UHCL last Saturday and received tons of information which eased my mind and made me extremely excited at the same time. I was able to meet with professors who will be teaching a large majority of the classes I will need to take and counselors who were so helpful in answering all of my questions.
All that stands in my way is a little thing called the Mathis Analogies Test....which I'm scheduled to take this Saturday morning. I shouldn't say that it stands in my way; all I have to do is take it. Since my last 60 hours at Tech were well above a 3.0, there is no minimum requirement for admissions. I want to do my best so I've been studying all week and am more than half way through my study guide. Although, it does take a little pressure off knowing that there isn't a "magic" number I have to hit.
After all is said and done I will begin taking classes this summer and within a few (probably more than a few) semesters I'll have my Masters in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Young Children with Disabilities.
