Friday morning Camden and I made a yummy little treat called cake balls. They're simple to make but take much more time than just a plain ol' cake.
Camden helped me make the initial cake while I did all of the hard work to actually "make" the balls. These are a super sweet treat that we've decided needs to be a special occasion food since we've gobbled them up in one weekend with the help of a few friends.
Cake Balls:
Make any flavor box cake mix according to the directions. After the cake cools crumble it into a large bowl. Mix in about 2/3 can of canned frosting until the mixture becomes pliable but not too stick. Form the mixture into small balls and place in the freezer for at least an hour. Once the balls are chilled melt almond bark or melting chocolate. Coat each ball in chocolate and set aside to cool. They can be placed in the fridge to speed of the cooling process. Once the chocolate has set its time to enjoy!!
Like I said, easy but takes a little extra time and effort.
Caution: They're super sweet and hard to pass up!
