Thankful

I am thankful for my family and friends.

My parents and oldest brother Daniel and his wife Callie drove down from Levelland to spend Thanksgiving with us. We were also happy to host my dear friend Gill and her two kiddos: Aiden and Annsley for Thanksgiving dinner.

Just a few snapshots from our day of thanks:

I See You

Let's Talk Turkey

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I, until this morning, had yet to share the joy of hand print turkeys with Camden. Sad, I know.

So Camden and I sat down at the kitchen table with a bucket full of markers. I handled the tracing and very minor but necessary details (two legs and a beak...impressive huh?) while Camden handled the creative side giving the turkeys a splash of color.

I think we managed to make four adorable little turkeys.

Starting a Letter to Santa

Dear Santa-
I've been a good boy all year. Please bring me a sandbox so I don't have to resort to digging in muddy spots behind the garage. Me and my mom would both love that. (especially my mom)

Tumble Time

Brian took today off to go watch Camden's gymnastics class at The Little Gym. Camden's been attending since September and has loved every minute of it. I was nervous about enrolling him initially but was pleasantly surprised at how well the class was organized and structured while still allowing the children to play and explore. We were blessed with an amazing teacher, Miss Becky.

I'm sad to say that The Little Gym that we attend is closing and today was our last class. We will be transferring to another The Little Gym that's a bit further from our house to finish out the session before making a decision about where we will go from there. Anyway...

Here are just a few more pictures from our class today:
(most were extremely blurry...he was on the move the entire hour)

Donuts, a special treat from Miss Becky.

We will miss you Miss Becky!

Play Date

My dear friend Katie brought her adorable little boy Jake over on Tuesday for a play date and lunch. Camden and Jake are just three short days apart. They loved chasing each other around the house almost as much as they liked playing the "drums" with
chopsticks at lunch. We've decided that we will be
scheduling regular play dates in the future.
(once a year is not nearly enough)

Play dates are good for the boys and good for their mommies too! :)

Dig In

Last weekend Brian and I worked to pull up several bushes along the side of our house that lined the driveway. Camden took the opportunity to grab his shovel and pail and got to digging.

It didn't take long for him to look just like Pig-Pen and be covered dirt.

Backyard Picnic

Camden and I took advantage of the beautiful weather a few days ago and had a picnic in the backyard. I must admit that we picked up Sonic corn dogs and cheese sticks (healthy huh?), unfolded a blanket and had lunch on the back porch. After lunch we played on the swing-set and ran around the yard until it was time for nap.

Again, just a few pictures since I'm so behind on posting.

Las Cruces

A few weeks ago Camden and I flew into El Paso and then drove with my parents to Las Cruces to visit my Aunt Lee, Uncle Ray, Lauren, Paul, Claire and especially GG. (my grandmother)

Just a few quick pictures since I'm so far behind on posting.
