Time for Plan B

We took full advantage of a warm sunny day last week and headed out of the house and to the park. That is, after going to Kemah, remembering that it was spring break, seeing the masses of people along with the lack of parking before coming up with the park idea.

Yee Haw

The smell of cows and other livestock were in the air as Ansley, Jenny and I ventured to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Saturday. We had tickets that just so happened to be finals night. We watched bull riding, team roping, bareback and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, and some event where the cowboy jumps off of the horse and ties up a calf. (I forget it's "official" name)

After the rodeo events we had the pleasure of watching Brooks & Dunn in concert. They played all of my favorites we all sang along. Yes, we were those annoying girls who sang along! :) I should add too that we got to pig out a little on "fair" food. Yummy!

After the concert we ventured back to our cars and headed to Howl at the Moon; a piano bar downtown. The girls and I had a few drinks, sang along with the dueling pianos, danced and had an amazing time. Yee-Haw for girls night!

"I Need To Make A Quick Call"

At least that's what Camden appeared to say as he snatched my cell phone off of the back patio and ran across the yard.

I didn't have a cellphone until I was 17.
He surely isn't getting one at 14 months. :)

Home Sweet Home

I've been home since Monday evening and have only now uploaded my pictures and posted a few for all of y'all to see.
*GASP*
I know...I know...
It's taken me a while to get back into a "normal" routine and I just haven't had the time or motivation to do so.

In a nut shell: We spent a lot of time with my family, visited school and my wonderful friends there, watched it snow, ate at all of the yummy places we don't have in Houston and even squeezed in a pedicure with my bestest buddy Zak.

Here are just a few of the close to 200 pictures I took.
Needless to say, I was a little camera happy.

We're Leavin' On A Jet Plane

Camden and I are traveling to Levelland tomorrow morning for a much requested visit back "home." We will be in Levelland for five days before returning Monday evening.
There will be many pictures to come but wanted to let you know my excuse for not posting before I go M.I.A.

And just so no one has any Camden withdrawals
(since that's all I ever post) here is my little cutie-pa-tootie:

O' Back to School

Going back to school is something that I've been contemplating since graduating from Tech almost four years ago and have finally decided that now is the perfect time to jump in with both feet. I attended an open house at UHCL last Saturday and received tons of information which eased my mind and made me extremely excited at the same time. I was able to meet with professors who will be teaching a large majority of the classes I will need to take and counselors who were so helpful in answering all of my questions.
All that stands in my way is a little thing called the Mathis Analogies Test....which I'm scheduled to take this Saturday morning. I shouldn't say that it stands in my way; all I have to do is take it. Since my last 60 hours at Tech were well above a 3.0, there is no minimum requirement for admissions. I want to do my best so I've been studying all week and am more than half way through my study guide. Although, it does take a little pressure off knowing that there isn't a "magic" number I have to hit.
After all is said and done I will begin taking classes this summer and within a few (probably more than a few) semesters I'll have my Masters in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Young Children with Disabilities.
