Our Little Helper

We managed to get Camden's entire room painted while he was napping. Once he was up we decided to give him a brush and a little bit of green paint and let him brush it on the wall. He was so excited to paint his room. He kept saying, "I'm painting! I paint it!"

This is a shot of the wall with the chair rail installed. It adds a nice touch to the room but don't let that fool you. It was a booger to install! (putting it nicely) None of the walls in that room are perfectly square and are scattered randomly with studs. Brian did a wonderful job in spite of the room and wall's shortcomings.

The room is much farther along that this pic but I don't want to post the after pics until I actually have everything organized,
clean and the walls decorated.

Ready? Set? Paint!

We bit the bullet and started painting Camden's room. We're painting it two colors and installing a chair rail. We may be a little crazy, but we want to finish it all today.
Here are the before pics:

And these are the pics in progress:
(don't let the pictures of Brian fool you-I painted too!!)

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

As a "thank you" to my Mom for coming all the way to Houston to watch Camden for the weekend we took her to an Astros baseball game. We snacked on all the ball park essentials, clapped along to all the traditional baseball tunes, cheered when it looked like the
Astros might actually score more than one run and
enjoyed the amazing weather.
In the end the Astros lost but we had a great time none the less.

All Dressed Up

Brian and I attended the wedding of two dear friends this weekend. We were so happy to be a part of their special day. It gave the two of us a chance to get dressed up and have a few nights out.

My Mom flew in for a visit and to babysit. We were out most of the evening on Friday and all day Saturday with all of the wedding festivities so we needed a reliable and trustworthy babysitter.
Who better than Nana??

We snapped a few pictures before we headed downtown for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. (Camden had to sneak in and get his picture taken too)Sad to say I didn't get any pictures
from the wedding; I forgot the camera.

Hunting Eggs

This was Camden's first "real" egg hunt. Last year he was still a little too young to understand the whole concept of picking them up and putting them into his basket but he had the whole routine down pat this year. Every (and I do mean every) egg he picked up he shook and said, with a look of surprise, "There candy in here." He even popped a few of them open and ate a few jellybeans mid hunt. He had a blast finding the eggs while Bran and I ran alongside pointing
out eggs he had missed!

A Cool Dude

That's what Camden calls himself when he has on his new sunglasses that Brian bought him. Notice the glove...another daddy gift.
Doesn't he look cool? And cute?

I'll get the rest of the Easter pics up tonight...don't fret.

Happy Easter

We woke up bright and early this morning so that we could eat breakfast at the church before going to early service. (we usually attend the late service) Camden surprised us and was up before six which made getting ready a little easier since we
didn't have to wake him up.

After digging into his Easter basket we headed out the door. After a yummy breakfast and great fellowship we attended a beautiful service that Camden almost made it through. (he's usually in the nursery rather than service) He did such a good job (before he had to take a little break) that we're thinking of making the transition from the
nursery to big boy church a permanent one.

We were back home by 9:30 and began enjoying some of the treats from Camden's Easter basket. We are going to to have an Easter egg hunt after Camden's nap and a yummy ham dinner
with all the fixin's this evening.
(more pictures to come)
