Santa Baby

I got the boys decked out in their Christmas shirts; their matching Christmas shirts and headed up to the mall to visit good ol' Saint Nick.

Camden was so excited to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. His list includes a pogo stick and a jack-in-the-box. There is a good chance he'll get the latter of the two but I'm not quite ready for broken bones so he'll have to go without the pogo stick for the time being. He was asked what Deegan would want for Christmas and he responded "He doesn't want anything. He's just a baby."

Guess Who's Two?

Two months old that is.
Deegan

At least he was on November 29th; I'm a little late in posting.
Anyway...

At his two month check up he was 11 pounds 10.5 ounces and 24 1/2 inches long. 50th percentile for weight and 90th for height. He's such calm and easygoing baby although the immunizations he received would lead you to believe otherwise.
(for a few days he was a cranky mess)

He's eating and sleeping on a more regular schedule, smiles a lot, coo's when he's talked to and tracks movement more fluidly. He enjoys being walked around and seeing his surroundings. He loves his mobiles and play mats although tummy time isn't his favorite activity. He has a sweet smile and loves to snuggle.

He's growing and changing each day. It is hard to believe that two months have already flow by. Babies grow up too quickly.

Catching Up

I have so many pictures I want to get posted from our Thanksgiving trip but haven't had the time to sit down and give them the "story" that they deserve so I'm simply going to post them so that I can feel caught up.

My two turkeys in the shirts my Mom made them:

Camden and Madison after "helping" set up the lawn
decorations at my parents:

The boys shot off Brian's rocket and had to hoist Camden up onto the roof to fetch it when the wind caught the parachute:

Deegan loved soaking in the tub. We had to just chunk him in the big bath tub (not really chunk, but you know what I mean) and do a bath without the little tub we use at home. An inch or so of water and a squishy bathmat and he was in bath heaven. He loved splashing around so much that we've abandoned the baby bath at home too.

I Wanna Hold Your Hand

Deegan was especially fussy during an afternoon outing. Camden reached over from his car seat, placed his finger in Deegan's palm and held his hand. Deegan quieted down almost immediately. The picture isn't the greatest since it was snapped quickly in the car, but it was too sweet not to capture.

I think its safe to say that Camden loves his little brother.

Our Alma Mater

While in Levelland Brian and I took Camden, Deegan and my Mom to Tech to walk around, reminisce, and take a few photos. Brian and I both received our undergraduate degrees from Tech and have many fond memories of the time we spent there. It is, besides family and friends, one of the things we miss the most about living so far away.

Strive for honor evermore!

We've already got him trained...
Get your guns up!

Swing High

One afternoon before the weather turned cold, Brian took Camden outside to swing. Camden LOVED it!

We have the same swing hanging on his swing set at home but it doesn't get anywhere near the same amount of height as the one hanging in one of my parents huge pecan trees.

"Let's Get Decorated!"

That statement became one commonly heard while we visited my parents the week of Thanksgiving as he and Madison dove into her various boxes of dress up clothes. Camden has always been one of a few boys in a sea of girls; which I know he won't mind once he's older, but means that he's played dress up more than a time or two.
