U is for Umbrella

This is Daddy's idea of a bath toy.

Nothing like an umbrella in the shower to get ya squeaky clean.

Christmas Party

Camden's class had their Christmas party this morning. It was two hours full of crafts, snacks, games, outside play, friends and fun.

Camden, and the entire class, had a great time celebrating together.
I think Deegan had fun too, even if he only got to watch.

The class made paper reindeer but Camden decided to try the antlers on for size.

They decorated ice cream cones like Christmas trees. This cute craft didn't last long before being eaten. Poor trees didn't stand a chance.

Everyone made an ornament; we now have a "Camden original" to hang on the Christmas tree.

Last, but not least, they mixed together a batch of reindeer food to sprinkle on the law so that Santa's reindeer will be able to easily find our house and have a treat when Santa visit.

Out Back

The weather has been bipolar in my opinion; one day-warm, the next-cold. Today, was a pleasantly cool day. After a walk around the neighborhood the boys and I spent the better part of the
morning playing in the backyard.

After pushing Camden in the porch swing (which he is entirely too big for) he said that he was willing to share with Deegan. Deegan is still at little small for the swing and had to be propped u with a blanket but he was all smiles anyway. Camden loved pushing but had to
be reminded to do so gently.

Easy, Cute & Yummy

ME: Camden do you know what shape a wreath is?
CAMDEN: Yes, a circle. Like this.

Camden and I mixed up at bowl of cheerios and green candy melts, formed the mixture into rough circles and decorated them with M&M's to make edible wreaths.

Like I said,
Easy, cute and yummy!

A Few Faces

I know I'm a little bias, but I think the camera loves his
sweet little face almost as much as I do.

Christmas Cupcakes

Camden and I mixed up a batch of cupcake batter and poured it into paper cups them we baked, frosted and decorated. Camden actually handled most of the aforementioned steps with the exception of baking, for obvious reasons and frosting because more of the icing would end up in his mouth rather than on the cupcakes. We had a great time making (and eating) a special treat together!

Not only were they delicious; they're really cute too!

Take It To The House

When Brian was out running a few errands with Camden the other day he happened upon a cardboard coloring house set up for display at CVS. Needless to say, Camden jumped right in and started playing. They left the store without the house but after discussing how excited Camden was about it, I made a trip back a few
days later to pick one up.

This is the box:

And from that tiny box (relatively speaking) I was able to
assemble Camden's new hangout.

Honestly I don't remember the finished product being quite so big in the store. Assembled, it's right at five feet tall and large enough for me to sit inside with my legs stretched out and an extra foot to spare.
(A foot as in 12 inches-not an actual extra foot)

Size aside, we have had a blast coloring the interior and exterior, sliding "mail" into the attached mailbox and playing
inside our new cozy cottage.
